Una blockchain privata e gestita dal o dai produttori, che comunica con tutte le biciclette prodotte, attraverso tecnologie crittografate e sicure. E’ possibile utilizzare anche GPS, sensori di temperatura e umidità, accelerometri. Non sarà possibile alterare i dati o cancellarli a meno che la bici non sarà irrimediabilmente manomessa, ma il registro conserverà sempre la proprietà del mezzo. Attraverso la lettura di un circuito Rfid, sarà possibile verificare i dati che saranno conservati in un database completamente gestito che fornisce un registro delle transazioni trasparente, immutabile e crittograficamente verificabile di proprietà di un'autorità centrale di fiducia (dal produttore) Si tiene traccia di ogni modifica dei dati dell'applicazione e mantiene una cronologia completa e verificabile delle modifiche nel tempo: la bikechain. Sarà possibile anche monitorare l'utilizzo in km percorsi del mezzo, e eventualmente usufruire di premialità che il Comune o la Regione di appartenenza potrebbe offrire per l'utilizzo del mezzo nell'ambito di un programma di mobilità sostenibile.
